A Photo Gallery of my Old Abode

Aerial photos and several pictures of my old home my lend you a sense of why I moved and the challenges I will face at the new place.

Aerial View of the new location

In this view you can see where the new lot is located approximately. The picture virtually frames my property, except for the road to the west. The fence line to the east is barely visible. The shadows of my neighbors' grarage,to the south, fall across the fenceline. Note the absence of houses so close you can jump from roof to roof. There is still not enough room for my dog Elsie.

An arrow pointer to show the Location of my old house

As you can see, we could probably have jumped from roof to roof, notice the cement sidewalks and paved streets. Typical tract home in the city.

From the road

This house does not look that impressive. It was only about 1800 sq ft. Note the large pine trees growing in the front yard.

Under the shade of the trees.

The ever-vigilent guard dog, Heyou, checks me out as I take this photograph.

A close-up of the front porch

During warm weather it was a comfortable place to sit and talk. In-fact it was all year long, from winter rains to summer heat we enjoyed the front porch with its fountain and small fish pond.

The fountain and pond

An old-fashioned water pump [inset] spills water down into a 90 gallon Koi / fish pond. The constant running waterfall made the front porch a relaxing place to sit and talk.

Back yard from the west

You get a special view of the plants and trees in my backyard, from this shot taken from the west end of the 25' x 75 foot yard. After a 12' deep patio was added there wasn't much rooom for gardens.

A lush green backyard even in winter from the east

You get a special view of the clutter on my patio. After the 12' x 55 ft patio was added there wasn't much rooom for gardens, but we managed to have one any how. Note the Spa on the far end of the patio.
